Julia Daniels

Julia Daniels

bullet Julia's reputation as one of the most exciting performers in Australia is spreading like wildfire, and with good reason. Julia's diverse vocal ability appeals to audiences of all ages. From the beautiful Edith Piaf classic 'No Regrets' sung traditionally in French, through to her great selection of country songs with which Julia has been compared to legends Patsy Cline and Linda Ronstadt. Julia also enthusiastically belts out classic rock from the 50's to the 90's, and displaying her early years of classical training, Julia's performance of 'Ave Maria' is inevitably a show-stopper. What really sets Julia apart is her boundless energy and warmth of personality with which she develops an intimate relationship with her audience. When 'Jules' is on stage everyone has a good time!

bullet Australia's foremost artist management company, Kevin Jacobsen Management, sighted Julia when, rock legend Col Joye chose her to be his special guest opening artist giving a young Julia the opportunity to develop her "big stage" performance style. Kevin Jacobsen also discovered and recorded the Bee Gees and later Andy Gibb, and currently represents other major artists and continues to develop new talent. Julia's versatility has taken her from the clubs to prestigious international corporate events and outdoor festivals. She experienced her first taste of American audiences where she performed at the 'Worlds Fair' in New Orleans.

bullet In 1991, Julia's first release through Festival Records Australia, 'Hush', achieved significant airplay with the video still enjoying club and video airplay today. Julia was able to increase her profile and touring prospects on that success, maintaining her demand as a live performer. In the following year Julia was chosen by the State Minister Of Sports to 'entertain and motivate' the Australian Olympic Team in Germany prior to the Barcelona Olympic Games. The athletes, alcohol free and instructed 'not to dance', ended up dancing throughout the auditorium following Julia conga line fashion and swarming the stage, losing the band in a sea of euphoric hysteria. Julia proved to be such a hit that she was also chosen to entertain at the official Australian 'Welcome Home' ball in the presence of the Australian Prime Minister. Recently Julia performed at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre to 2500 people to once again receive the same phenomenal frenzied audience response.

bullet Julia and her band have recently completed a successful tour of Malaysia where her latest CD's 'Ave Maria' and 'Everything I Own' have been very well received. Ave Maria has been featured on the compilation album 'Dance Moods', which has sold in excess of 60,000 copies and achieved a high profile via television and radio exposure. 'Ave Maria' will also be released in other parts of the world with the most recent release being the USA. Julia is a people performer - down to earth, natural and honest, on and off stage. Without doubt Julia is one of Australia's greatest talents.
