CD Cover Previous Release: WAY OVER THE EDGE

  1. WAY OVER THE EDGE - With a haunting melody, this song is a very personal reflection of Gene's own experiences while serving in the armed forces in South East Asia.
  2. MIDWINTER BLUES - At long last, another duet with father and daughter. The last one appeared on Gene's only album in 1981. This song is a perfect vehicle for them. Written during the cold winter of '99', and the longest drought in Victoria for more than 30 years.
  3. THAT'S MY CUE - An up tempo song about a serious subject - a broken relationship. The hero of the story is happy that the relationship is all over, but hates the way he's still paying for it. A lot of us can sympathise with this situation.
  4. SOMEWHERE EAST OF MT SABINE - This song reflects the dangers faced by the timber workers in the forests of Australia. This incident happened in the 1940's in the Otway Ranges of Victoria, and is based on a true story.
