"Long Live The King"
It's been 25 years since he left the building, but ELVIS is alive and well and living in cyberspace! Let's not forget Country fans, that before he was' The King' he was the 'Hillbilly Cat'. The official ELVIS Web site is a great place to start searching on the Internet. There is everything you can imagine; from a Webcam with live views of Graceland, to games for the kids. My favourite feature is over at the sister site devoted to the forthcoming release ELV1S 30 #1 HITS. There, you can create and share your very own living, breathing Virtual Elvis (look under Games/Activities). Choose a background (from Jailhouse Rock to the White House), switch his outfit (from soldier chic to Vegas cool) and select an actual message from the King, and E-mail him off to your friends!
TIARA, the Tamworth Independent Artist Recognition Awards recognise the immense talent and commitment of Independent artists in Australian Country Music. They now have a Web site where you can not only check out previous events, but also download the entry form for the 2003 awards.
When you arrive at the new ADAM HARVEY site you'll see that he is literally sitting on top of the world. Everything you want to know is here, including his story from the early days to the present and, because he's a proud father, lots of baby pictures.

As the JOHN WIBBERLEY BAND continue their epic fundraising tour for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, you can follow their route on the map at their Web site. By clicking on the 'Speedo' you can also gauge (no pun intended) their progress and checking the dollars they have raised and the kilometres they have travelled.

DVD REVIEWWYNONNA: MUSIC IN HIGH PLACES - LIVE IN VENICE
MUSIC IN HIGH PLACES is an international music and travel documentary series and in this instalment the girl from Ashland, Kentucky visits Venice, Italy. The focus is on a number of truly outstanding live acoustic performances by Wynonna (with 3 musicians and 3 backup vocalists) set in picturesque locations. The main 'feature' film is a 50-minute presentation and unfortunately it suffers from being edited into a short commercial broadcast format. The dialogue distracts from the music and the scenery and Wynonna is not served well by the editing of her interview. The good news however, is that on this DVD presentation there are over an hour of 'bonus features' plus the ability to watch all the great music without the voice-overs. This is the better option, especially for the special guest appearance of Italian singer and superstar, Zucchero. The Location Footage segment provides a far more relaxed look at this remarkable city and its residents, while the complete Artist Interview section is a far more revealing insight into the Wynonna of this moment than you would expect. The spirituality of Venice certainly moved her and Wynonna's music will do the same for you.
